Copyright and takedowns

Apps can be in the gallery before their maker has heard from us, with the icon, screenshots and words from their store listing or website, credited to them. If you made one and would rather it wasn’t here, write to us from an address we can connect to the app and we take it down, no questions asked. We can also change anything on its page.

To report material in software.gallery that infringes your copyright (an app’s page, its icon or screenshots, or its words), send our designated agent a notice with:

• your physical or electronic signature, as the owner or someone allowed to act for them
• the work you say is infringed
• the material in the gallery, with its link, so we can find it
• your name, postal address, phone number and email
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by the owner, its agent or the law
• a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or allowed to act for them

We take the material down or disable access to it promptly, and tell the person who submitted it when we can.

A notice someone knows to be false can make them liable for damages, so please check before you send one.

If material was taken down by mistake or misidentification, you can send the agent a counter-notice with your signature; the material and where it was before; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where Geoform may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We forward it to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may put the material back.

We stop accepting submissions from people who infringe repeatedly, and remove what they submitted.
