Terms of service

software.gallery is run by Geoform LLC, 84 N 9th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249 (“Geoform”, “we”, “us”), a company in the United States.

software.gallery is a gallery. We list apps that independent makers have made, with their icons, screenshots and facts, and we link to where you can find each one. We don’t sell apps, and we don’t make them, except the few that say Geoform made them.

• Browse, search and filter without an account. There are no accounts for visitors.
• Each app links out: to the App Store, to its own website, or to the maker’s download page. What happens there is between you and the store or the maker, under their terms.
• Prices are shown as information. The price that applies is the one the store or the maker shows you.

Star ratings are the US App Store’s own average and count, shown with the date we last checked them. Versions, sizes, languages and requirements come from the store listing or the maker’s site. We check them often, but they can be out of date: the store or the maker’s page is the source.

Anyone can submit an app. We read the link you give us to fill in its details, you check them, and you confirm your email. A person reviews every submission, and we decide what goes up and where. We may edit an app’s name, short description, category or screenshots so it fits the gallery.

When you submit, you tell us the details are accurate as far as you know. If you made the app, you also tell us you have the right to share its name, icon, screenshots and words, and you let us show them in the gallery, and in posts about the gallery, while the app is here.

Follow the submission guidelines and the acceptable use policy. Don’t submit someone else’s email address.

Apps can be in the gallery before their maker has heard from us. If you made one and want something changed, or would rather it wasn’t here, write to mail@software.gallery from an address we can connect to the app, and we will change it or take it down. If someone uses your work without permission, see copyright and takedowns.

The makers make the apps, not us, so questions about an app go to its maker. Stores and makers’ sites can change or go down while the gallery is up.

software.gallery is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what happens on the stores and sites we link to.

We may change these terms. We post the new version here with a new date. Governing law and where disputes are heard will be set once counsel reviews this draft.
